A COCINAR
For my Senior Comprehensive Project I decided to create a VR game to teach people about Mexican culture through learning about our cuisine. At first I tried to fit too much into the project and have this one game encompass all of Mexican culture. I quickly found this was not possible so I changed perspective and instead made it be more influenced by my own experience.

After having people play A Cocinar, I found that they really enjoyed it and I really enjoyed working on it. Therefore, I decided to extend it for another semester and graduate with honors.
For the second iteration, I focused on making this more of a game with various elements that require skill development since the first version was more a proof of concept that I could make a cooking game for VR on Unity.

A professor of mine saw my work and suggested that I submit it to the BAFTA Yugo awards. I did and was wonderfully surprised that out of 750+ submissions mine was one of 70 projects that was shortlisted.

I created this game because I remembered old snickers commercials that would depicts people acting like zombies so their friends would give them a snicker and once they ate it they turned back into humans.
